Brigham Young University Campus

Brigham Young University is a beautiful campus both inside and out. Much of the architecture around BYU has a sense of class and timelessness, particularly the newer buildings around campus.

Rocks

Monday afternoon I was taking pictures for the paper when I came across these rocks in the parking lot east of the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni House. At mid day they look pretty flat, but in the right light, the colors really sing.

Easter In Farmington

Brittany and I went to Farmington to spend Easter with her aunt and uncle. On the way home we thought we would stop at take a picture or two to admire the beautiful sunset.

Above, a hot air balloon descends in Provo on the Fourth of July. Every year dozens of hot air balloons fill the sky to celebrate our day of independence. Below, the door knob of the Bunnell farmhouse on UVSC campus. Some want to turn it into a cafe and think it is perfect for that purpose. As of now it is being used to store custodial supplies

San Francisco 2007

Last summer my wife Brittany and I took a trip out to California. We stayed a few days at my mom's house in Benicia and spent a day in San Francisco.

Eyring Science Center

This is the Eyring Science Center on BYU campus. I like the dynamic lines and repeated shapes. I think that it matches the function of the building well, which is the home to many of the colleges of science at BYU.

The Tractor Around the Corner

There is a tractor just around the corner from my house. I decided to try the technique that I did for my last image on the tractor. I used a Cannon 30D with a 70-200mm zoom lens. During the shoot I met Aaron Smith, he lives in the house in the background.

Compilation Image

Wednesday I was walking to the news room after photographing a lecture about Godzilla and I decided to try to make an image from multiple images. I created an action in Photoshop to adjust and re-size all the images to make them fit together nicely. The more I learn, the more I learn that I have more to learn. Story of my life.
